Abu Dhabi School of Management is pleased to announce that Professor Naveed Yasin has achieved two peer-reviewed research publications in leading international entrepreneurship journals, reflecting sustained scholarly contribution and research leadership in the field.

The first article, “What Promotes Start-ups? A Framework of University and Voluntary Entrepreneurial Education in the Higher Educational Sector,” has been formally accepted for publication in the Journal of Enterprising Communities: People and Places in the Global Economy. Following peer review, the manuscript was accepted in its current form, with no further revisions required, and will proceed to production with Emerald Publishing.

In parallel, Professor Yasin has published a second article in the Journal of Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, a Scopus Q1 ranked journal. The article, “Take a Break: A Typology of Immigrant Enterprise Growth Strategies in Non-Traditional Entrepreneurship Settings,” advances a context-sensitive understanding of immigrant enterprise growth, drawing on evidence from institutionally complex and migrant-majority economies such as the United Arab Emirates. The study contributes to immigrant entrepreneurship theory by developing a nuanced typology that moves beyond linear growth assumptions and foregrounds strategic variation in emerging economy contexts.

Together, these publications highlight Professor Yasin’s ongoing engagement with core debates in entrepreneurship education and immigrant entrepreneurship, while reinforcing Abu Dhabi School of Management’s commitment to producing rigorous, internationally recognised research. The School extends its sincere congratulations on these achievements.
