Dr. Turki Al Masaeid recently led an engaging classroom activity in the Research Methods course (LED 8111) within the Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development (MSLOD) program at the Abu Dhabi School of Management. This session focused on strengthening students’ skills in literature review—a critical component for conducting meaningful research.
Students began by selecting and organizing research topics, using structured tables to systematically arrange their findings. This framework served as a basis for crafting coherent and well-developed paragraphs, helping students hone their academic writing. The session also encouraged collaborative discussions, where students shared insights and peer-reviewed each other’s work, gaining deeper insights into structuring and analyzing research.
Dr. Turki emphasized the importance of a strong foundation in research methodologies, stating, “Mastering the process of literature review not only sharpens critical thinking but also empowers students to contribute meaningfully to their field.”
This activity highlights ADSM’s commitment to providing practical, skill-building experiences that complement the theoretical foundation of the MSLOD curriculum, equipping students with the tools for excellence in research and leadership.
