Abu Dhabi School of Management recently hosted a high-level roundtable discussion on “International Perspectives in Business Schools,” moderated by Dr. Constance Van Horne, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies at ADSM. This insightful session featured esteemed leaders in business education, including Dr. Marc Poulin, Acting President and Associate Professor of Operations Management; Dr. Marc Aoudi, Acting Vice President of Academic Affairs and Professor of Management and Economics; Dr. Naveed Yasin, Professor of Entrepreneurship; and Mr. Victor Hedenberg, Membership Director at the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and Business Graduates Association (BGA).
The roundtable provided a platform for sharing valuable perspectives on the impact of international partnerships on enhancing student experiences and advancing academic programs. Dr. Marc Poulin emphasized the role of student learning trips, such as the recent ADSM visit to ITMO in Russia, in fostering real-world applications and network-building. Dr. Marc Aoudi discussed ADSM’s collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Management Institute (AI MI) and international partners in the US, France, China, and Russia, highlighting the importance of human connections in business education.
Dr. Naveed Yasin shared insights on ADSM’s Management Incubator, which aims to equip students with social, human, and financial capital for entrepreneurial success. Mr. Victor Hedenberg added a broader perspective onAMBA and BGA’s role in supporting business schools worldwide, fostering improvements through membership and accreditation with over 500 schools across 85 countries.
This roundtable underscores ADSM’s commitment to developing a global business education environment, preparing students for the evolving international business landscape.
