ADSM’s Assistant Professor, Dr. Turki Al Masaeid, published an article on the impact of social media engagement on enrolment intention. The article was published in International Journal of Data and Network Science. The article examines how potential international students use social media to gather information about schools and their reputations when deciding on higher education. Based on data from 384 international students at three universities in North Cyprus, the study explores the relationship between social media engagement, information credibility, and enrollment intention. It finds that credibility fully mediates the relationship between social media engagement and enrollment intention, while student type does not moderate this. The study offers recommendations for university management and policymakers and discusses limitations and future research directions.
