In line with the UAE’s commitment to an innovative, flexible, and future-focused education system, ADSM expanded its educational offering to include Credit-Bearing Micro-Credentials (CBMCs) that support lifelong learning, professional development, and employability.
The rapid pace of economic, technological, and workplace change makes continuous upskilling and reskilling essential. Micro-credentials provide a flexible and focused way for learners to develop specific knowledge and competencies aligned with emerging industry and labour-market needs.
ADSM’s micro-credentials will complement its academic and professional offerings by providing short, targeted, and industry-relevant learning opportunities for professionals, graduates, and other learners. They will focus on high-demand and emerging areas such as management, leadership, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.
ADSM currently offers the following CBMCs:
This nine credit hour CBMC, named Applying Artificial Intelligence in Business, incorporates three separate 3 credit hour courses derived from the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program, an existing CAA-accredited program. The three courses making up the micro-credential program are: the AIM 8602 – AI Business Applications, BUS 8401 – Analytics in Business, and AIM 8603 – AI Strategy and Change.
This micro-credential program is designed as a focused nine credit-hour unit of learning with clearly defined and assessed learning outcomes.
This 9 credit hour program targets learners in business and analytics domains, aiming to support upskilling, reskilling, and lifelong learning for working professionals and adult learners in the UAE. Successful learners will receive formal recognition in the form of institutional credit and certification, consistent with ADSM policies and MoHESR requirements, and transcripts that clearly indicate the micro-credential title, level, credit hours, learning outcomes, assessment approach, and mode of delivery.
This course lays the “Business” foundations for creating awareness in Business Analytics. Business analytics as a support for decision-making and its importance in the business environment is increasing at unprecedented levels. These enable executives, managers, and other corporate end-users to analyze various data and present actionable information to help make informed business decisions. We will appraise business data and analytics topics to address dynamic changes within an organizational context.
This course appraises the main functions performed within key departments of a typical enterprise. It examines how various departments can integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to gain business insights from data towards effective decision-making. Students are expected to critically analyze high-level strategic aspects of introducing AI in key functions as performed by HR, finance, and, importantly, marketing. Students will evaluate relevant management methods against various AI and analytics techniques in achieving competitive enterprise advantage.
This course introduces advanced strategy and changes concepts from the viewpoint of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations to transform organizations. Essential concepts and techniques of strategy and change are reviewed and integrated with building an AI strategy to achieve organizational objectives. Relevant tools and techniques for strategic planning, management and change are applied in realistic settings. Complex transition management processes and national AI strategies are also examined.
This six credit hour CBMC, named Driving Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era, comprises two 3-credit hour courses, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Digital Transformation Strategy and Leadership. Both courses are developed from existing courses within the CAA-accredited Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the nature of entrepreneurship and introduces the importance of innovation in the entrepreneurial process. Students will learn how to develop growth oriented businesses - whether for-profit or not-for-profit. The course content supports students when starting or developing large and small businesses, and enable them to address challenges related to innovation initiatives. Students will explore current theoretical and practical perspectives to relate innovation and entrepreneurship to local and global sustainability priorities.
This course explores how leaders design, implement, and sustain digital transformation strategies that drive innovation, agility, and competitive advantage. It integrates strategic frameworks, organizational change models, leadership competencies, and data-driven decision-making, emphasizing responsible and ethical transformation practices. Students apply theoretical concepts through case analyses, simulations, and a group project designing a digital transformation roadmap.
This two credit hour CBMC, includes one course derived from the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, an existing CAA-accredited program. The course is the MKT 6211 – Marketing Management.

This course integrates core marketing principles with elements of innovation and entrepreneurship. Students will learn the advanced theories and concepts in marketing, including the use of contemporary digital technologies. Students will explore strategic marketing tools needed to inform marketing decisions. Managers must conduct marketing research to analyze market segments and recognize opportunities for the creation and promotion of new products and services. This course aims to enable students to evaluate a variety of marketing challenges and solve complex marketing issues.
