The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) recently welcomed a distinguished delegation from Caucasus University (CU), Georgia, led by President Prof. Kakha Shengelia and Dr. Boris (Buba) Lezhava, Vice President of Research and Strategic Development. The visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening academic collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions. Dr. Marc Poulin, Acting President of ADSM, formalized the agreement alongside Prof. Shengelia, setting the stage for joint initiatives in research, student exchange, and entrepreneurial development.
The event was attended by ADSM leadership and faculty, who engaged in discussions on expanding global partnerships and fostering innovation. As part of the visit, 20 students from CU participated in an interactive entrepreneurial challenge at ADSM’s Entrepreneurship Incubator, led by Prof. Naveed Yasin, Director of Abu Dhabi Management Incubator, with the support of Dr. Zainab Rawshdeh, Chair of the BScM Program at ADSM.
The challenge tasked students with developing business concepts that integrate Georgian and UAE market opportunities, focusing on market fit, cultural adaptation, feasibility, and scalability. Students presented their ideas in a structured format, highlighting differentiation, economic impact, and investor appeal.
Simultaneously, Dr. Poulin, Prof. Shengelia, and Dr. Lezhava held a strategic meeting to explore further collaboration, including the potential launch of a one-week summer program in Georgia for ADSM students.
This visit reaffirmed ADSM’s commitment to global innovation and entrepreneurship, strengthening ties with international academic institutions. The school looks forward to developing impactful initiatives under this new partnership.
