ADSM Explores Cooperation Opportunities with Prestigious Jordanian Universities

A delegation from ADSM led by Professor Abdullah Elkwafi Abonamah, President & Provost of ADSM visited a number of Universities and Colleges at the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The visit’s aim was to discuss future academic cooperation, research experiences and students exchange programs.

The delegation met with Prof. Fayez Salim Haddad, Dean of the School of Business Administration at the University of Jordan, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Jordan. During the meeting the history and achievements of the university were illustrated, in addition to the role ADSM plays in supporting the development of higher education in the UAE through selected academic programs it offers. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashraf Bani Hamad, Director – Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Shira Mahasneh, Director – Department of International Affairs at the University of Jordan.

The delegation visited Mu’tah University as well, and met with its President, Dr. Yousef Al Sarayra, to discuss the role of ADSM and Mu’tah University in achieving leadership and excellence in higher education. Thus, contribute to building a generation that is able to cope with the rapid changes in the 21st century. Also, they visited King Abdullah II Center for Excellence and met with Dr. Ibrahim Al Rawabdeh.

In addition, Professor Abdullah and the delegation accompanying him, met with Professor Mashhour Al-Rifai, President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), and Dr. Irfan Awajan, Vice President of the University. PSUT is considered one of the leading universities in Jordan for the study of information and communication technology, electronics and computer engineering.

The delegation visited Applied Science University, one of the first private universities in Jordan and met with its President, Dr. Mahfouz Joudah. Furthermore, they visited the Royal Jordanian National Defense College where they met the Commander of the College, Brigadier General Ali Magableh.

Reflecting on the visit, Professor Abdullah Elkwafi Abonamah emphasized the importance of the visit for future cooperation between ADSM and Jordanian educational institutions, and considered this visit as the stepping stone for building new effective partnerships with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and to enhance academic cooperation with universities and colleges in the Arab world.
