Professor Deepanjana Varshney, Chair of the MSLOD Program and Professor of Management at Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), has co-authored a new research paper titled “The Impact of Learning Organizations on Sustainable Performance,” published in Discover Sustainability.
Co-authored with Mohammad Alghababsheh and Abdulla Albreiki, ADSM alumni and member of the MSLOD Academic Program Advisory Committee (APAC), the study examines how learning organizations can contribute to sustainable organizational performance through authentic leadership and workforce agility.
Using survey data collected from 228 employees across public-sector organizations in the United Arab Emirates, the research finds that learning organizations can create conditions that support the emergence of authentic leadership. In turn, authentic leadership contributes to the development of workforce agility, helping translate organizational learning into sustainable performance.
The research highlights workforce agility as an important link between organizational learning and performance and offers practical insights for organizations seeking to strengthen their adaptability and long-term sustainability in increasingly dynamic and competitive environments.
The publication contributes to ongoing research in organizational learning, authentic leadership, workforce agility, and sustainable performance.
