ADSM Hosts St. Cloud State University Faculty and Students

Abu Dhabi 5 March 2018: The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) hosted an academic delegation from St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, USA, comprising of 30 postgraduate students. St. Cloud State University was established in 1869. Today, the University offers more than 10 postgraduate programs in various higher education disciplines. The visit was part of the academic collaboration between ADSM and global academic institutions.

Welcoming the delegation, Professor Abdullah Elkwafi Abonamah, ADSM’s President emphasized the School’s commitment to strengthening collaborations with leading international academic institutions, pointing out that faculty and students at both ADSM and St. Cloud State University have an excellent opportunity to collaborate in the area of faculty and student exchange and research.

Professor Abdullah gave a brief presentation about ADSM and its development. Established in 2011, ADSM is fully accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs to offer graduate programs and enhance research and development in business management as well as to support the development of the private sector.

Dr. Daniel Kratochvil, Academic Dean at ADSM gave a presentation on the UAE federation, society and culture, highlighting the cultural and educational development witnessed in various areas.      

On his part, Dr. Mark Schmidt Professor of Information Systems at St. Cloud State University said he, along with the faculty and students, were happy with the visit and appreciate having the opportunity to witness first-hand the incredible socio-economic development of the UAE.

He thanked ADSM management for the warm reception and the attention given to strengthening scientific collaboration with St. Cloud State University.
