The Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), recently hosted a special session dedicated to CMI Accreditation, featuring representatives from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). As a leading global authority on management and leadership, CMI offers internationally recognized qualifications and a network of over 200,000 members worldwide. The session provided valuable insights into the significance of CMI accreditation and its alignment with ADSM’s mission to deliver exceptional management education and prepare the next generation of leaders.
The event highlighted how CMI accreditation enhances academic offerings, boosts career prospects for students, and provides faculty with access to exclusive global resources and a professional network. Attendees explored the advantages of this prestigious accreditation, particularly in equipping students with leadership capabilities and reinforcing ADSM’s reputation as a premier institution in management education.
Speaking on the significance of this collaboration, Prof. Naveed Yasin, Director of ADMI, expressed enthusiasm about ADSM’s role in pioneering this initiative:
“I am excited to lead this partnership between the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM). This endeavor marks a significant milestone as ADSM becomes the first higher education institution in the Abu Dhabi region set to become an accredited CMI centre, offering dual-certified programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This dynamic collaboration underscores our commitment to enhancing entrepreneurship, leadership, and management education—equipping students with globally recognized professional qualifications that strengthen their employability and entrepreneurial capabilities. We look forward to working closely with CMI to develop our students’ human capital, drive innovation and entrepreneurship, and contribute to the sustainable growth of the Abu Dhabi economy.”
Echoing this sentiment, Zain Munir, Head of International at CMI, praised ADSM’s commitment to excellence:
“It is fantastic to see ADSM partnering with the CMI. It demonstrates their dedication to advancing management and leadership excellence. Their learner community will benefit immensely from the accreditation and the resources CMI provides, helping them develop strong leadership and management capabilities. This, in turn, will enhance their employability and add value to their career paths.”
The event was an important step in ADSM’s continuous pursuit of academic excellence. It also marked the beginning of plans to establish a CMI Centre at ADSM—the first of its kind in the region—offering students and faculty direct access to CMI qualifications and leadership development tools.
