ADSM Students Explore UAE Heritage at Qasr Al Hosn with Dr. Zainab Rawshdeh

ADSM Qasr Alhosn Trip
Under the guidance of Dr. Zainab Rawshdeh, Assistant Professor of Management, undergraduate students from the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM) recently ventured to Qasr Al Hosn, immersing themselves in the rich tapestry of UAE history and culture. This field trip was thoughtfully curated to align with the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) of the History and Culture of the Arab World class, providing students a rare opportunity to experience firsthand the living history that shapes modern UAE society.
The visit to Qasr Al Hosn offered insights into traditional Arab craftsmanship, hospitality, art, and architecture. Students learned how these historical practices continue to influence contemporary culture and gained a deeper appreciation of the legacy embedded in UAE heritage.
Guided by a knowledgeable tour guide, students explored the architecture and artifacts of Qasr Al Hosn, creating personal video reflections on the experience. These videos, later presented and voted on in class, fostered engaging discussions and further enhanced their cultural understanding.
ADSM remains committed to offering hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom, providing students with enriching opportunities to connect academic knowledge with real-world insights. This visit exemplifies ADSM’s dedication to equipping students with a well-rounded, culturally enriched education.
